One Canary in the line has a microphone — the Dash on the Waveshare 4.3C. It listens for the cadence a smoke or CO alarm sounds, and — if you opt in — a sudden loud onset (a door) to wake the screen. It never listens for words. This bench runs that exact decision core — the firmware's own logic, ported 1:1 to JavaScript and re-pinned to the header in CI — so you can watch what it does, and prove what it doesn't, before you own a board.
